Capacity problems in Zoom

Resolution

The fault situation is now over.

Issue

Because of the fault situation only about half of the Zoom capacity is now in use. This limits the number of participants in simultaneous Zoom meetings, and it is possible that not all participants will be able to join Zoom meetings. If this happens at your Zoom meeting or remote lecture and restarting the Zoom meeting doesn’t help, create a replacement Teams meeting and send a link to the participants.

Intranet (intra.tuni.fi), public main site (www.tuni.fi), Unit magazine (tuni.fi/unit) and Content machine services will be under maintenance on Thursday 24 September. Due to the maintenance, short breaks might occur between 7.30 and 9.00.

User interface of id.tuni.fi will be improved

Issue

The id.tuni.fi service will be in maintenance mode on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 between 7.00-8.00. During the outage, the following improvements will be applied to the id.tuni.fi service:

  • The layout of the service will been improved with a more uniform color and design theme.
  • Clearer and better terminology to provide a more focused overall look that improves usability. New user interface instructions have been added an previous ones have been updated also.

Issue

Special notes:

TUNI Jira is not available between 6.00–8.00 due to version update. Layout of the service changes slightly.

 

TAMK: Pakki and Peppi are not available between 8.00–10.00. The services will be updated to new version in order to fix reported problems.

During the evening breaks will occur in the following packaged services of the higher education community:

  • Services requiring a Haka login
  • Single Sign On system
  • Moodle learning environments
  • Office 365 service, including email
  • Electronic services of the staff and students
  • Changing the password, activating a new user account
  • Websites, blogs and the intranet
  • Networks, including wireless networks
  • Printing and scanning
  • Workstations and home directories
