Site owners are experiencing issues when editing sites via the site information panel in SharePoint Online.

Site owners are experiencing issues when editing sites via the site information panel in SharePoint Online.

More info: Specifically, site owners utilizing the site information panel to update sites will see the following scenarios impacted:

– Changing a site’s logo

– Updating a site’s name

– Updating a site’s description

– Updating the hub site association

– And/or changing a site’s privacy settings

 

Site owners attempting to update these will receive an error stating “An error occurred while processing this request.”

 

We expect this issue to be completely resolved for all affected users within the next seven days

Issue

Problems can occur e.g. in services where people are automatically added to access groups based on the person’s work in a particular area of ​​responsibility.

The problem can cause people to be missing from mailing lists, or prevent users from logging on to the computer.

Information management will investigate the problem and the group memberships will be restored as soon as possible.

Currently known issues:

  • Logging on to computers in the data archive
  • Absence of persons from unit mailing lists
  • Absence of persons from unit access groups on Wiki.
