TUNI Sign upgrade and service break on 29 April

Issue

TUNI Sign – Digital signature service will be upgraded to a new version on Thursday 29 April 2021 and there will be a service break starting at 12. The service break will last half a day.

In the upgrade all the information and files will be transferred to the new version of TUNI Sign. The user interface in the new version will be slightly different but the functions and the log in will remain the same.

Issue

Id.tuni.fi and salasana.tuni.fi maintenance breaks were initiated by a new issue that we needed to fix as soon as possible. This break causes a service restart, which might result as an error in application.

Problems with access to Microsoft Teams

Issue

Users may be unable to access Microsoft Teams through both the web and desktop client. Acces via mobile app seems to be unaffected.

Current status: The service is performing well. If a user is still experiencing impact, they need to restart their clients to recover.

Interruption in the transfer of student records to the Virta database

Issue

An interruption has occurred in the transfer of student records to Virta, a centralised database in which Finnish higher education institutions maintain copies of their student records. As a result of the interruption, authorised external stakeholders with access to Virta are not able to verify the student status of some of our students. The issue is under investigation by the service provider.

The interruption may cause problems when using the following services: Kela, the Finnish Student Health Service, the Koski database, and the Pivo mobile student card.

To verify your student status, you can request a certificate of student status form the Student Affairs Office if necessary.
