Eduuni services move to TUNI accounts – migration starting on Apr 17 at 5pm

Issue

Migration to TUNI accounts in Eduuni services starts on the 17th of April at 5pm. Old TAMK, TUT and UTA accounts cannot be used in Eduuni services after the migration. Eduuni services are completely unavailable between 17th of April 5pm and 18th of April 5pm.

Login to Eduuni services with your TUNI account from the 18th of April 5pm onwards.

If you have used only your TUNI account or your old TAMK, TUT or UTA account in Eduuni services, you don’t need to do anything. Access rights will be moved automatically to your TUNI account.

If you have used multiple accounts in Eduuni services, access rights cannot be moved automatically. These persons are given instructions by email.

Meeting Attendees can´t not see the chat box and there is no chat icon to click on. The situation is likely to be repeated at major meetings.

Problems with editing files in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive

Original announcement on Office documents in Microsoft Teams:

For students and teachers working with Office documents in Microsoft Teams, we are beginning to roll out a temporary change where there will be an additional step in order to edit a document. This is a change from current behavior that allows users to go straight to edit mode when clicking on a document in the “Files” tab of a channel, a conversation, or from inside an assignment.

In all cases, upon clicking on the document, users will first see the document in view mode – they will be able to see the document content, but not make changes.

In order to edit the document, users need to click on the options in the top right of the white bar above the document content and select “Open in Browser” or (for users with Office for Windows installed on their device) “Open in Desktop App”. This will open the document in Office in a separate window from Teams and allow the user to make changes.

Issue

Editing files, that are saved to Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive for Business, is not working for some of users. For example Word and OneNote files may not be possible to edit inside Teams but can be edited in Word and OneNote online versions or Office desktop applications.

Maintenance break in intranet, main website and content machine on Thu 9 April

Intranet (intra.tuni.fi), public main site (tuni.fi) and Content machine services will be under maintenance on Thursday 9 April. Due to the maintenance, short breaks might occur between 7.30 and 9.00.

Interruption on Center Campus network services

The configuration is fixed.

The network connections in central campus infrastructure were disconnected momentarily between 14.35-14.44 due to an error in configuration. The problem affected some services mainly on central campus.
