Issue

Interruptions in the wireless network on all the campuses starting at 8 pm. The breaks last about 10 to 15 minutes, but in Pori and part of the Hervanta campus, breaks can last 30 minutes.

During the maintenance evening breaks will occur in the following packaged services of the higher education community:

  • Services requiring a Haka login
  • Single Sign On system
  • Moodle learning environments
  • Electronic services of the staff and students
  • Changing the password, activating a new user account
  • Websites, blogs and the intranet
  • Networks, including wireless networks
  • Printing and scanning
  • Workstations and home directories

Issue

Intranet and content machine will be under maintenance on Thursday 19 January. Due to the maintenance, short breaks might occur between 7.30 and 9 am.

Intranet (intra.tuni.fi): There might be problems with logging in between 7.30 and 9 am. Please note that changes made to content pages, news, events or your own profile may not be saved during the maintenance.

Content machine: Do not edit the content during the update, as the changes made may not be saved.

Service break in Mepco (TAU) on 17 January

Issue

Mepco will not be available during the version update.

In the version update, Mepco’s email address will change. After the update, the sender of Mepco emails will be mepco@certia.fi (currently hr-info@certia.fi). Please note that Mepco emails are automated and it is not possible to reply to them.

Problem on Windows computers – program icons missing

Issue

Program startup icons have disappeared from some Windows computers. Shortcuts have disappeared e.g. from the desktop, start menu and taskbar. However, the programs have not disappeared from the computer. The problem is worldwide and only affects Windows computers.

The services https://servicedesk.tuni.fi/ and https://helpdesk.tuni.fi/ will be updated to a new version. During the upgrade services are not in use.
