TUNI Moodle service break Thu 9 March between 00-06

Issue

Service provider will make changes to Moodle server environment. Because of this, TUNI Moodle will shut down on Thursday 9.3.2023 at 00:00. Moodle will be again available on Thursday morning at 06:00 at latest.

Please note that Moodle can’t be used during that time.

Teachers: adjust Moodle assignment deadlines so that there is no deadline in late Wednesday evening.

Students: Moodle content and assignments are not available during the Moodle service break.

Interruptions in network connections on Wednesday 8 March 2023

Issue

Modifications will be made to the network connections of Hervanta and City centre campuses. This may cause interruptions or short outages in the wireless TUNI-STAFF- and eduroam network connections on all campuses. Interruptions may also occur in the wired network connections in the computer class ML5/D208 of Main Building in City Centre campus and at fixed workstations in the Kampusareena.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

The changes to be made are part of the TUNI core network renewal project, in which the core network implementation of the campuses will be renewed during 2021-2023 and the Internet connection will be updated to better serve the current and future needs of the Tampere university community.

TUNI Moodle network breaks Thursday 2 March between 00-06

Our server infrastructure provider will update firewall service. Because of this, TUNI Moodle will have network connections breaks starting from Thursday 00:00. Moodle will be normally available on Thursday morning at 06:00 at latest.

Service break in password.tuni.fi and id.tuni.fi service 27 February – 1 March

Issue

During the service break at password.tuni.fi and id.tuni.fi service:

  • activating new TUNI accounts is not possible
  • changing and resetting a password as a self-service is not possible; contact IT Helpdesk when necessary
  • new user authorisations cannot be applied for or added

Please note that employment contracts and resource agreements that are added during the service break will only become operational in TUNI id management after the break.

We regret any inconvenience caused by the service break.

Service break in Mepco and SAP systems (TAU) on 24 February

During the break, SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP Portal, Travel, Martti, Opentext and Mepco will not be available.
