Interruptions in network connections of TAMK Mediapolis building

Issue

 

Network device replacements will cause interruptions and short outages in the network connections in TAMK Mediapolis building.

The change work will start with the wireless network, after which the wired connections will be changed one by one. From the point of view of an individual user, the estimated duration of the connection outage is a few minutes at most.

Dates for changes:

  • Thursday 8.6. 1st and 0th floor
  • Friday 9.6. 1st floor
  • Monday 12.6. 2nd floor
  • Tuesday 13.6. 3rd and 4th floor

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

These changes are a part of network renewal project. Network devices are replaced in campuses during 2023 to better serve the current and future needs of the Tampere university community.

Zoom Cloud Recording outage

Resolution

Zoom found a workaround, so cloud recordings seems to be working again. Cloud recording re-enabled in TUNI Zoom meetings.

Issue

NORDUnet is not receiving web hooks from Zoom about finished recorded meeting at the moment. This means that Zoom cloud recordings will not transfered to Panopto.
TUNI IT services disabled cloud recording from Zoom. Local recordings work normally.

NORDUnet has contacted Zoom and is working on resolving the issue.

Issue

TUNI storage system (NAS) version upgrade will cause short service breaks for TUNI home and group directories (P and S drive).

The installations were originally scheduled for the night between 6.6. and 7.6., but because of hardware failure the upgrade work will continue on 7.6. between 12 to 16.

If you can’t access a network folder during the upgrade, please retry after a while.

Microsoft cloud services (OneDrive, Teams, Sharepoint, TUNI Groups) are not affected by the upgrade.

Service break in the university’s Mepco and SAP systems on May 26, 2023 at 4 p.m.

There will be a service break in Certia’s SAP system and the university’s Mepco on Friday May 26 from 4 p.m. on.

During the break, SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP Portal, Travel, Martti, Opentext and Mepco will not be available.

Service break begins: 26 May 2023 at 4 p.m.

Service break ends (estimated): 26 May 2023 at 7 p.m.
